RockPointe strives to provide an accepting environment where individuals with special needs can learn about Christ. For families with children who have been diagnosed with a disability, whether it is physical or mental, we will provide a “Buddy” for your child during the 9:15a or 11:00a Sunday morning worship services. Our “Buddy” will pair up with your child to accompany and help with participation in their age-appropriate classroom.

Email Marnie Piccin, Special Needs Coordinator, to let her know if you are planning to visit us at RockPointe!  We can’t wait to meet you and your children.

A parent/caregiver must attend class with your child on the first visit to help our staff evaluate your child’s needs.  This allows us to better serve your child and your family as we place him/her with a “Buddy”.

Embrace Special Needs Support Group

This adult support group is for parents (singles or couples) of children with special needs. The purpose is to connect, fellowship  and share prayer needs. Childcare drop off is at 4:00p.  Childcare will be provided for your special needs child (of any age) and siblings, birth-5th grade.

Sibling Support Group

This is a group for 12-18 year olds who have a sibling with special needs. The group meets off campus once per month from 7-9p. The purpose of this group is to connect with other teens in a fun atmosphere with teen appropriate activities, a time of sharing and learning in a safe, friendly environment.

ENCOMPASS is for all ages of special needs!  We love to have the older special needs kids assist/serve the younger ones through music, games, Bible story, craft and snack. Trained buddies are available to assist in all the fun!

This group meets the second Sunday of every month from 4-6p.

For more information, email Marnie Piccin, Special Needs Coordinator.

If you are looking for a place to serve, Embrace (our Special Needs ministry), has a place for you!  We are looking for people who have a heart for supporting a child by being a “buddy” who helps to mainstream the child into the class or who provides one on one assistance to more individualized needs.
